Paranthewali Gali, Chandni Chowk

3 people, paranthas - gobhi, paneer, matar, rabri(rabri parantha - almost like a sweet dish),mixed; lassi; dahi. about Rs 150. Value for money: What do you think?
Can't possibly say anything bad about it can I? The good thing is, with the Metro its easy to get to, just take the Metro from Rajiv Chowk in CP to Delhi Main on the Vishwavidyalaya route, its within walking distance. Paranthawalli Gali appears to have two main parantha shops, we went to the one on the right of the shop which says 'The power of paranthas' (this parantha power shop is also the onewhere Indira Gandhi ate once, they have framed photos as proof), am wondering why I didnt go the one whose name I remember. Anyway, nice parantha menu and really good food. Although the parantha are very different from the traditional Punjabi paranthas, more like stuffed-khasta-poori. Should also try the Rabri which is a few shops down.

Cafe Morrison Hard Rock, South Extension

3 people, couple of beers (Castle, Happy Hours), Some corn appetiser, Rs.300.
Obviously can't say much about the food, though they seem to have a rather extensive menu. The appetiser was pretty ordinary. The music was alright, though it could be a lot louder, perhaps it is later in the evening. The seating, as one of my friends pointed out could be more loungish with lower tables and more couches. Can't say will go there again.

Cafe Chinese and Thai, Gurgaon

Bar and Restaurant. 11 people, a lot of appetisers, a lot of alcohol, bill about Rs. 7000. Been there a few times, the food is good the alcohol is good, music's good(lot of modern and classic rock) when a DJ is around, but this time, discovered what a DISHONEST place it is. One of our friends got drunk, we had to leave fast, and we did not have time to check the bill. Afterwards, we found out that they had turned 3 large Bacardi's into 10. Its a pretty popular place but with stuff like that definitely NOT RECOMMENDED.

China Club, Gurgaon

2 people; Order: Bean Curd with Black Mushrooms, Garlic Onion Fried Rice, A bottle of Foster's; Bill Rs. 750. Pretty good food. Really good service, they keep an invisible eye on you and are ready to serve you as soon as you finished your helping. The ambience is pretty nice, though they could improve the music.

Why?

Where do we go? This is a question which has consumed precious time (to decide), expensive fuel (because of last minute decision changes) and a lot of peace of mind. And it pops up everytime we want to go out for a drink/dinner/whatever. So here, a record and reviews of places I have gone to, to perhaps make the question less formidable.
